# Workflow Transactional Email

> Transactional email for Shopify Flow. Send transactional email straight from Shopify Flow. Connect Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace via OAuth, or bring your own SMTP server. Compose messages in a visual editor with full Flow variables.

Workflow Transactional Email is a Shopify app by Code Creation Labs GmbH (Kerken, Germany) that extends Shopify Flow. It is EU-hosted on Google Cloud (eu-west-1), encrypted at rest with Google Cloud KMS, and GDPR-compliant. There is no third-party tracking on this site.

## How it works
01. Install the app: One-click install from the Shopify App Store. Free tier includes every channel.
02. Connect your mailbox: Sign in to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace with OAuth - or paste your SMTP credentials. One screen, reused everywhere.
03. Compose and send: In any Flow workflow, drop the email action, write your message in the visual editor, ship.

## FAQ
### What OAuth scopes does the app request?
Google Workspace: gmail.send (send email) and gmail.settings.basic (send from your configured send-as aliases). Microsoft 365: Mail.Send, plus Mail.Send.Shared to send from shared mailboxes your account is permitted to use. We never read inboxes, contacts, calendars, or any other content.

### Can I use my own SMTP server?
Yes. Any SMTP server works - SendGrid, Postmark, Amazon SES, Mailgun, or a self-hosted relay. Add host, port, username, password once. We support TLS and STARTTLS.

### Where are emails stored before sending?
Composed message metadata and content is transmitted to your chosen provider for delivery. We temporarily log delivery status for debugging. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

### Does this affect my domain reputation?
Mail goes through your own provider, with your DKIM, SPF and DMARC. Your reputation is yours - we are not in the delivery path beyond handing off to your provider.

### Is the app GDPR-compliant?
Yes. EU residency, DPA available, no third-party tracking on this site. App is a data processor under your DPA with Microsoft/Google as upstream subprocessors.
